Roy Lichtenstein

Roy Lichtenstein was a leading figure for a new pop art movement was drafted for world war II as a boy was interested in comics and magazines awarded national medal of the arts by 1972 his art was selling at the highest for any living artist ever hopelessness master piece whham! little big painting crack "Ben-day" dots were created by Benjamin Day and was used by Roy Lichtenstein. Basically, it was a method that was inexpensive used for the shading effect and secondary colors. This technique was used in comics. Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein both did pop art, but different types. Warhol did more pictures based on popular culture, while Roy had more pictures using the "Ben-day" dots technique.

Pop art is art in which chooses a popular image and presents it in bright colors that looks abnormal. Andy Warhol -was a 1960's pop icon famous for amazing attention-grabbing art pieces -He had a disease called syndenham's chorea, he was confined for two months in his house by his mom because of the illness. during this time his mom encouraged him to have interest in pop culture and art. -His birth name was Andrew Warhola -He created at least 60 movies -Died in February 22 of 1987 by a heart attack
