"Ben-day" dots were created by Benjamin Day and was used by Roy Lichtenstein. Basically, it was a method that was inexpensive used for the shading effect and secondary colors. This technique was used in comics.
Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein both did pop art, but different types. Warhol did more pictures based on popular culture, while Roy had more pictures using the "Ben-day" dots technique.

Pop art is art in which chooses a popular image and presents it in bright colors that looks abnormal.
